چکیده
Mitochondrial dysfunction and respiratory function changes have been consistently associated with the initiation progression of cancer. The purpose this study was to retrospectively investigate expression mitochondrial tumor-suppressor DNA-repair proteins in patients oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) evaluate relationship between their prognosis. We enrolled 197 OSCC who underwent surgical resection August 2013 October 2018. Clinical, pathological, epidemiological data were collected from hospital records. peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator-1α (PGC-1α), transcription factor A, tumor suppressor gene 1, silent information regulator 3, 8-hydroxyguanine DNA glycosylase investigated using immunochemistry. 3-year disease-specific survival (DSS) rates showing positive all selected significantly higher than those a lack expression. Multivariate analysis revealed that PGC-1α (hazard ratio, 4.684) vascular invasion 5.690) can predict DSS rate (p < 0.001). Low are potential clinically effective predictors prognosis OSCC.

High PD-L1 Expression Correlates with Metastasis and Poor Prognosis in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma
PD-L1 has been widely demonstrated to contribute to failed antitumor immunity. Blockade of PD-L1 with monoclonal antibody could modulate the tumor immune environment to augment immunotherapy. PD-L1 expression is also detected in several types of cancer and is associated with poor prognosis. However, the prognostic role of PD-L1 in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is still controversial. Our ...

abstract while task-based instruction is considered as the most effective way to learn a language in the related literature, it is oversimplified on various grounds. different variables may affect how students are engaged with not only the language but also with the task itself. the present study was conducted to investigate language and task related engagement on the basis of the task typolog...

Introduction: Squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity is one of the most important and common types of head and neck malignancy, with an estimated rate of 4% among all human malignancies. The aim of this study was to determine the association between expression of matrix metalloproteinase 2 and 9 and the clinicopathological features of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Materials and Met...
متن کاملSquamous cell carcinoma of lung with unusual site of metastasis
Background: Lung cancer ranks among the most common and most lethal malignancies worldwide. Once vascular or lymphatic invasions occur, metastatic dissemination to distant sites is common. Bone, liver, adrenals, and brain are the most frequent sites of the distant disease. In this study we present a case of squamous cell carcinoma of lung with metastasis of the left knee bursa.Case presentation...
متن کاملHigh expression of Capn4 is associated with metastasis and poor prognosis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma
Calpain small subunit1 (Capn4) is present in various cancer types and is implicated in tumor metastasis. However, the role of Capn4 in esophageal squamous cell cancer (ESCC) has not been elucidated. In this study, immunohistochemistry was conducted to detect Capn4 expression and localization in 155 ESCC tissues and in 35 adjacent normal esophageal mucosal tissues. Following knockdown of Capn4 i...
